Putrified: Sacrilegious purification
25/01/14 || gk
Putrified is a one man Swedish death metal project that has been around now for a while. Main man A. death released 2 full lengths prior to this EP and the music is a sort of mash up of various extreme metal styles. From the blasting Necrophobic flavor of “Pestilentialis” at the start to the slowed down death doom riff in the middle that reeks of Asphyx, “Sacrilegious purification” is derivative but there’s an energy and atmosphere to these songs that is quite real and engaging. A. Death has been quietly putting out some quality releases in the last few years and this is no different. Putrified’s Sacrilegious purification is well worth checking out.
7/10: Solid collection of derivative but fun, slightly blackened death metal.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
